Creation Rock at Red Rocks amphitheater

The amphitheater opens an hour before sunrise and closes an hour after sunset, unless a show is scheduled that evening, in which case it closes when it’s time for the band’s sound check (typically around 1 p.m.).

There is a list of rules that athletes are supposed to follow, but it’s mostly a collection of common-sense guidelines intended to help everyone respect the experiences of others. At Red Rocks, weathered stairs and 69 rows of wooden benches become exercise equipment. Those wooden benches rise 135 feet from the iconic stage to a plaza at the top, and the reward is a view of the downtown Denver skyline that sits more than a dozen miles away.
